Beavers

“The best thing we did was the Beaveree. There were loads of things to do and I could choose what I did.”, Isabelle

Who We Are

Are you aged between 6 and 8 years old?

Do you like having fun?

Do you want to make friends?

You’re ready to become a Beaver Scout!

We are the youngest section in Scouts and the start of an exciting adventure.

What We Do

When you are old enough (8 years old), you can move to Cubs. By then we hope you will have had 2 years getting into the Scouting way by joining in. We will:

  • Play games
  • Explore outdoors
  • Listen to stories
  • Go on visits
  • Do creative activities
  • Cooking
  • Help others

Find Out More and Join In

We wear a bright turquoise sweatshirt. You may have seen us around town. We also wear our Group scarf just like the older Scouts.

Beaver Scouts usually meet together once a week in a Beaver Scout Colony.

Sleepovers

Some Beaver Scout Colonies also organise Sleepovers. These are often the first time a young person spends a night away from home. They take place in suitable buildings, often Scout centres under the care and supervision of experienced leaders.
